The Administration Office
for New Bern Fire-Rescue is housed at the Headquarters Station located at 1401 Neuse Boulevard. The administrative staff consists of one Administrative Assistant and one Office Assistant III who provide administrative support for the Fire Chief,
Deputy Chief, three Commanders, 12 Lieutenants, a Training Officer, two Fire Inspectors, and 45 Fire Specialists.
Support services include, but are not limited to: payroll and budget preparation; website maintenance; personnel record maintenance; SOP manual updates; maintenance and update of all association rosters; office supply maintenance; order and tracking of department requisitions and processing invoices for same; scheduling of inspections, station tours, and other activities; data entry of hydrant maintenance records and fire inspections; and the issuing of permits and incident reports.
