Swimming Lessons
New Bern Parks & Recreation Aquatic Center will be offering an American Red Cross Swim Lesson Program with classes scheduled to begin on TBA. This program will cover safety topics and basic swimming and water exploration skills. Lessons will be for beginning non-swimmers and beginning swimming.
Registration starts on 4/2/12 at West New Bern Recreation Center for city residents and 4/11/12 for non-city residents. Cost is $40 for city residents and $70 for non-city residents.
If you have children between the ages of 3-12, this is a good start for them to learn, grow and have fun in an aquatic environment.

Pool Reservation Information
**Reservations for the 2012 swimming season are now being accepted. Please call Jermaine Thomas at: (252) 639-2922.

Hours available: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. only
Fees: Resident $60/hr and non-resident $75/hr. There is a 2-hour minimum.
The completion of a reservation form does not confirm the reservation.
**Pool reservations are dependant on staff availability and payment of fees.
*Minimum of three (3) staff members assigned to rentals at $12/hr. per staff member in addition to the rental fee.
Morning hours from 9 am - 12 noon are set aside for programs, camps, clubs, groups, organizations, etc by reservation only. All regular fees apply.
