Camp Information

 

Regular Camp

Hours:

9:00 am - 4:00 p.m. - check with each specific camp on drop off and pick up times.  This information will be available when the participant is registered.
Dress Code:
Make sure your camper comes dressed for the day's activities.  This includes any field trips that may be scheduled.
Meals:
Please check with specific camps if meals are offered.  In most camps, the camper will have to bring snacks and a lunch.

Medical

Conditions:

Parent or guardian are required to fill out a form of the participants medical history.  This is done during registration.
Payments:
All payments are required before the first day of camp.

 

 

Bern Bear Bunch Day Camp

 

 

The Bear Bear Bunch Day Camp program is for ages 6-12.  Children participate

in different games, physical activities, field trips, cookouts, etc.  Bern Bear Bunch offeres three (3) two-week sessions and one (1) one-week session of High Adventure.  Pre-registration is required. This camp is limited to 25 participants per session.  Each session will be held at West New Bern Recreation Center located at 1225 Pine Tree Dr.

Camp Fun Quest

 

Camp Fun Quest is designed for ages 6-12.  Utilizing arts and crafts, recreation, and education to promote summer fun and excitement. This camp will also go on field trips in and out of New Bern.  Camp is limited to 35 participants per session.  Location for this camp is at the Community Resource Center, 908 Bloomfield Ave.

Teen Camp

Teen Camp is designed for ages 13-17.  Each session will have a particular theme, such as dance, get-away, or water, the possibilities are endless.  Camp limited to 13 participants per session.

YES Camp

 

YES Camp is designed for ages 6-12.  Activities will include bowling, skating, field trips, arts and crafts, games, canoeing, movies and much more.  Breakfast and Lunch will be provided by the Summer Food Program. 

The camp is being held in four different sites.  Henderson Park, Lawson Creek, Pembroke, and Pleasant Hill.  These sites are selected by the participant when registering.

Sports Camp

Sports camp is for children ages 6-12.  The camp focuses on non-traditional sporting activities that most kids enjoy.  The camp will include field trips in and out of New Bern and is located at West New Bern Recreation Center.  Space is limited to 25 participants.

Hook-A-Kid-On-Golf

This camp is for children ages 7-14 that have never played golf before.  Each camper will enjoy a week at Quaker Neck Country Club where they will learn the basics of golf, get a starter set of golf clubs, and enjoy time amoung friends with new found common bond of golf.  Space is limited to 20 participants per session.

Cheer Camp

Cheer Camp is a cheerleading camp for all levels of cheerleaders from the ages of 5-12.  The camp will be held at the Stanley White Recreation Center.  This camp will cover the fundamentals of cheerleading in a way that promotes fitness and fun.  Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Space is limited to 13 participants
