To enhance the quality of life through comprehensive and balanced leisure services and facilities.
ABOUT US
New Bern Parks and Recreation provides a variety of affordable opportunities
for individual and family leisure endeavors. From leagues and fitness, to
clubs and crafts, to playgrounds and parks, to camps and after school services,
New Bern Parks and Recreation has something for almost everyone. You will
find many of our scenic parks include amenities such as shelters, boat slips,
playgrounds, and gorgeous views of the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Our department
is proud of the Special Events it sponsors throughout the year, such as the
Festival of Fun and a local favorite, the Coastal Christmas Flotilla. The Athletics Division offers numerous youth and adult sports leagues ranging from Pop Warner Football, Cal Ripkin Baseball, Industrial Adult Basketball, and Girls Volleyball. Whether
you are relishing the outdoors at one of our beautiful parks, improving your
lifestyle at a local recreation facility, enjoying one of our
many annual special events, or participating in one of our outstanding athletic leagues, our aim is to meet your leisure
