New Bern Parks & Recreation
Boys and Girls Basketball
New Bern Parks & Recreation is offering a youth basketball league for girls ages 5-13 and boys ages 5-18. Please pick up registration forms at West New Bern Recreation Center located at: 1225 Pine Tree Drive or Stanley White Rec. Center located at: 901 Chapman St.
-Evaluation night for girls starts on Wednesday, November 16th at West New Bern Recreation Center.
-Pre-draft practice for boys starts Saturday, December 3rd, at Stanley White Recreation Center.
-Cost: $45 per player
-Volunteer Coaches Needed! Volunteer forms must be completed and can be picked up at West New Bern or Stanley White Rec. Centers.

Youth Council
New Bern Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for New Bern Youth Council, formerly YAAC. Our youth council is looking for High School students who are serious about having fun. Flotilla
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 3rd for the annual Coastal Christmas Flotilla! Registration is underway now for the 27TH annual holiday tradition. Since the flotilla marks the beginning of the holiday season in New Bern, boat owners are encouraged to decorate their boat with holiday lights, and/or themes. If you’d like to be a part of this extraordinary holiday event, please pick up a registration form at West New Bern Recreation Center at 1225 Pinetree Drive (by Kidsville), or call 639.2902.
For the land-lovers, we invite you to attend the flotilla at Union Point Park. Watch as the riverfront is transformed into a moving light display. Come experience for yourself the lights, sights, and sounds of Christmas. At the conclusion of the flotilla, Santa Clause will greet children at the gazebo. Bring you wish lists, and join us in the park!

Camp Christmas Adventure
Treat your child(ren) to 5 days filled with creativity, fun, and holiday cheer. Camp Christmas Adventure is a holiday camp for children between the ages of 8-12. Campers will participate in pre and post Christmas activities such as: Christmas themed arts and crafts, holiday excursions, Christmas tree decorating, cooking projects and much, much more. Camp will be held on the following dates: December 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th & 30th
There is a $20 registration fee for Camp Christmas Adventure and additional money will be needed for excursions.
Registration will take place on November 16, 2011 through December 16, 2011 at both West New Bern Recreation Center & Stanley White Recreation Center where camp will be held in both locations.
